President's Message

The annual BPAC golf outing took place on Tuesday, July 22nd.  The weather was really great, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.  Our thanks to Brian Eckrich, chairperson, and his hard-working committee for a successful event.  For the second year in a row, Comcast was our premier sponsor.  See page four for a complete list of our sponsors and volunteers.  A big thank you to Juday Creek and their great staff for making sure all went smoothly.  Sure enjoyed the great lunch!

On Monday, Aug. 18 and Tuesday, Aug. 19th, there will be IBA ExecutiveBoard, and Committee meetings taking place in Indianapolis.  One important item on the agenda is the proposed state dues increase.  David Compton, this year’s state president, has put together a list of ten very important accomplishments that the IBA has achieved in the last couple of years. These are listed in detail on page five.  The passage of the Model Home Act will more than pay for your annual membership dues.  So there is real value in your membership with the HBA.

It’s hard to believe, but we are in the midst of planning for the annual Fall Builders Showcase already.  There are a few changes to the show this year.  The hours have been extended to include Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:00 until 7:00PM.   With a little more exposure, we will hopefully have more traffic through our homes.  Also, there will be a short survey for consumers to complete that will give us some feedback on advertising and what the consumers are looking for.  Mark your calendars!  The dates of the show are October 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, & 19.  Rest assured there are no home Notre Dame games on those two weekends!
